I'm thankful for when Jeremy gets a surprise day off of work!

Today was his last day of work until Monday because of Thanksgiving break, but at 5:30 this morning he got a call from his supervisor and she told him that the base roads were shut down and gave him the day off! SA-WEET! :) So now instead of a 4 day weekend, he has a 5 day weekend! I let him sleep in until about 10:30am and made him breakfast. Then we....bought a 4 wheeler.

Okay so it sounds a bit out of the blue but it really wasn't. Jer has wanted one forever, and we've been looking for a couple months to get one. We decided to get one for Christmas but thought it would be one of those late Christmas presents since we wanted to save up more and pay for it with cash. Well, a coworker of Jeremy's introduced us to their friend who was selling a 4 wheeler for pretty cheap. We looked at it last night and Jeremy ended up talking them down the price quite a bit, so we could afford it! I love my frugal husband.

So anyway, we picked it up today! (well, Jer drove it home across the back field) Now all we need to do is save up for a trailor to hook up to our Jeep to bring it to some awesome trails here in the Black Hills. We're so excited!! Merry (early) Christmas to us!

After that, we went to the Self Help store on base and got an American flag, a bag of salt for our driveway, and window sealing kits. Then we came home and put on the window sealing things (our windows are VERY drafty), and now we're just relaxing watching tv.
