Today Jeremy had the day off so we decided to brave the bitter cold and wind outside and head to the Black Hills Stock show and Rodeo!
It sounds a little random but we've been hearing about it for a while now. I guess its a pretty big deal around here.
We went during the day so we didn't see a rodeo..sadly. But we did see a whole lot of cows, a tonnn of interesting vendors (with free samples, our favorite), a mechanical bull competition, lots of food, and a petting zoo! The "zoo" was more like 10 different animals in a small room hahaha.. but it was still way fun. There was a Llama, an Alpaca, a Fainting Goat, sheep, a miniature horse, a miniature mule, two way cute piggies, and some chicks that had just hatched. There was also a couple of Australian Sheep puppies for sale that we wanted SO badly.
We're such animal lovers. Our dream is that when Jeremy retires out of the Air Force and we settle back in New York near our families, we'll buy a house with lots of land so we can have a lot more animals. Including a little piglet. Seriously I want one so bad. They're just so cute how could you resist?!
We had such a fun day. Gotta love super simple and cheap dates with the hubby! :)
Fun Fact: Right now it is -13 degrees outside, with a windchill of -50 degrees. Oh South Dakota how we love you! Not....
