On New Year's Day Jeremy and I took a trip to see the Crazy Horse monument in the Black Hills. We both had never been before so it seemed like a fun date for us. Plus, Jer got in free with his active duty military ID, and my admission was 3 cans of food for the food pantry they are trying to collect food for. Can't beat that!
It was pretty interesting learning about why and how they were carving this Crazy Horse monument in the mountain and looking at everything in the Indian Museum of North America. Here is the website if you don't already know about it and would like to know :) http://www.crazyhorsememorial.org/
We watched a video about the memorial, took a tour of the museum, saw the mountain, and finished our day off with a cup of free hot chocolate. It was a great day :)
