Jeremy & I :) This was taken a couple of days before he left for BMT. You can't really tell, but his bottom lip was just finishing healing. The week before leaving he got a HUGE infection on his chin, which spread into his jaw and bottom lip. We took him to urgent care, and then that same night he just kept getting worse and worse (with a fever of 103!!) so we ended up taking him to the ER. It was really scary. He pretty much never gets sick so it was a huge suprise, and we were really worried that he wouldn't be able to leave for bootcamp as planned. The doctors think it was MRSA (which is a worse version of a staff infection.. and is resistant to most antibiotics). They put him on a ton of different medicenes and it went away pretty quickly, thankfully. Here is a picture of Jer with his REAL swollen lip.. poor guy.
