Game Night & The Superbowl

Lately I have been so grateful for friends.

This past Saturday night our neighbor Sarah had a bunch of the neighbors over for her Birthday/Valentine's Day party. There was a ton of great food and we spent the night laughing and playing games.. and as always, we had so much fun. We played Apples to Apples and Battle of the Sexes. We are really blessed that we have such great neighbors here that we've been getting to know better. Everytime we plan a game night with them, we find ourselves looking forward to it for weeks.

For this years Superbowl, we went to our friends Chad and Emily's house. We brought over our big ol' tv (theirs is tiny) and some food. We ate SO much. There was pizza, wings, mac n' cheese, buffalo wing dip, tater tots wrapped in cheese and bacon (YUM), lemonade, and a delicious cinnamon cheesecake thing for dessert. It was so fun spending the day with them and their adorable kids Deacon and Abby. Oh and by the way, we rooted for The Steelers (Booo Packers!) Haha not that I care AT ALL about football... but it was fun getting into it and trash talking the other team. And yeah yeah, we know The Steelers lost... lets not talk about it. :)

We met Chad and Emily at church and we really clicked with them from the beginning. At first we were bummed that no one in our ward was our age with no kids yet like us.. but we were suprised to find that we had a lot more in common with them than we thought we would! We can't wait to hangout with them again and get to know them more.

Being away from our family and friends back home is sometimes hard, but having great friends here makes everything sooo much better.
