...are DRIVING me crazy! These past few days have been interesting thanks to Carter and Winston. Here is what has happened..
1. Carter tore up a TON of carpet the other night when we were gone. (Winston stays in a kennel, and up to this point, we trusted Carter enough to have him stay in the room with Winston, but not in a kennel.) I'm pretty nervous to tell the housing office..
2. We just recently noticed that they both have fleas! Lovely. And not just regular fleas... TEXAS-SIZED ones! So we drove over to Walmart and picked up some flea and tick shampoo which seemed to do the trick so far.
3. After the carpet ruining episode, we decided to put both Carter and Winston in the kennel together so that Carter couldn't tear up any more carpet(Don't worry its big enough for the two of them.. i'm not a bad mommy), atleast until we found another kennel so they could each have their own. WELL, Carter decided to POOP in there WITH Winston and so you can probably think of what happened next... They both laid in it. So gross. So I had to re-bathe them(after I had just gave them their flea baths earlier that day), and Jer hosed out the kennel. Also, we found out that Carter really hates being in the kennel.. which wasn't a huge suprise, but he now has a swollen and scraped up nose because of trying to get out of the kennel.... how pathedic.
4. After we had cleaned up all of the mess... Winston decided to throw up... twice. Not fun.
5. Last but not least.. Winston scared me big time with a giant growth on his throat. This was out of his control, clearly, so I can't be mad at him for it.. but man it worried me. Over the course of a day, he had a growth of some sort grow to the size of a golf ball on the front of his neck. It wouldn't reduce in size over a couple days and it continued to get harder and harder (gross, I know) so we called the vet and made and appointment. Well, the day of the appointment... it started going away! Thankfully.. we didn't have to spend a ton of money at the vet. It is completely gone now! We still don't know what it was.. the vet thinks it was a sist of some sort. How weird.
So that is how my last few days have gone. Our dogs are like our children.. they are so needy! But even though they drive us insane sometimes.. We couldn't imagine not having them, or giving them away. They're our babies :)

Sounds like you have had your hands FULL. Animals are so much fun, but can be so dramatic. :-D
